Yesterday evening's western sky seemed to say the weather would be reasonable and it has been, with the temperature at 65F and only the briefest of rain showers.Re the house-move. The young lady who sad all the right things, wants to come back with her in-laws for a further look. Ho Hum!
The day centred around visiting Steven in QMC at about 3pm, he is now on a different ward, but has been told he can go home tomorrow and they won't need our transport services. He seemed so much better but was told that, had he been a smoker, he would probably have been a 'goner'. His chest is still troubling him and apparently it will be eight weeks before he is 100% again. We tried to exact a promise that he will 'take things easy' but that will be a matter of Steven-interpretation.
He insisted that we go on our National Trust outing and we feel we can.We are leaving Mansfield at 9am for East Riddlesden Hall which is near Keithley.
The trip involves a Steam Railway section on the Worth Valley Railway and we are looking forward to it muchly.

Picture 2, the flower, is one of those that Tracy brought the Sunday before last, and they are still surviving. They are vaguely rose-like but I'm afraid I don't know their true identity. Again, for new 'blog viewers', if you click on a picture an enlargement will appear.
Pleased to report that Madeline is OK and was simply suffering from a form of 'forum-fatigue'. She helps so many people computer-wise that she is fully entitled to a rest. With Bungus being 'off colour' too it would be nice to have them both back to their ascerbic best.
During the trip tomorrow Gordon and I intend to discuss the idea of setting up a Team Blog for the National Trust, Mansfield Centre, so that people have an easily accessible means of keeping up-to-date. In my opinion it would work better and more easily than a website. But, as Y astutely points out, how many of our members are computer-literate enough to access it? in fact how many of them even have computers? It will all stand a good discussion.

Pleased to hear that Steven is improving and hope that he will behave sensibly.
I am (probably unjustifiably) suspicious of the anti-smoking comment. I'm convinced it's a conspiracy and they just waon't let it go. They've already started on the booze before they've even cleared the fag ends away. Bring back the Wichfinder General, why not, and I'm not happy about that ex-admiral-now-a-minister fella whose words appear to me to be encouraging people to look at Muslims the same way that Hitler had the Germans regarding Jews.
All right, it's all in my mind. Where else would it be?
Perhaps more importantly (more easy to put right anyway) 'Keithley' is spelt 'Keighley' (pronounced 'Keithley').

I once spent a whole day going up and down it having spent the previous night under canvas in a thunderstorm at the highest point in West Yorks.
I rather wish you wouldn't dwell on my 'under the weather' interludes. You'll make me feel ill which I am not. Sandra's 'shut up and get on with it' approach (which she also applies to herself) stops me feeling sorry for myself for too long.
