Picture 1 was the sky last night and yet today it has rained incessantly. Perhaps it has to be completely red.
Y is on another granny duty, in Palmers Green and I took her to the tram around 9.30am. She returns on Monday morning and we have things to do next week. But Y likes to be busy, and she so loves the grandchildren. This weekend we are sort of splitting them because I am going over to Long Eaton in the morning to spend some time with Sky and Brooke. It will be nice to see David and Helen of course, and I aim to arrive for coffee. I spoke to Steven mid afternoon and he didn't feel very good today. 'Asthmaticky' - he described it, and he sounded very hoarse and rather breathless. He was setting off soon after my call to see the Doctor. That's the family paragraph folks.
Vic and Lynn's burglar alarm went off around 4am, so I was prowlin' around in my dressing-gown. Y slept through it. Their friends have the key but we didn't ring them till 7.30am, and they have now been and reset it. Here's hoping it doesn't go off at 4am again tonight. I think the problem is that, apart from us, no-one ever sets their alarm when they are in residence, so any fault only becomes apparent when they are away !
Picture 2 is some 'sour cherry' juice from Lidl and I can strongly recommend it. Not a hint of artificial sweetener and very pleasant.
Every-so-often an unusual 'comment' appears on the blog and yesterday 'imigrante' from Brasil sent me his 'rock and roll' blog which, if I was keen on music, would be nice because there are loads of downloadable things on it. My McAfee SiteAdvisor
pronounced it virus-free so I wasn't at all unhappy.
I have made the above a live-link because the programme is free, and checks anything that you are thinking of opening, before you do so. It is much recommended. If you google something for instance and are provided with a results list, McAfee will put a green tick at the side of the clean sites, an amber question mark if it is in doubt, and a red cross if the site is virus-laden. I personally wouldn't feel I was surfing safely without it.
Just a point for new readers. You are not restricted to the current month, i.e. July. If you wanted to refer to something earlier, click on the appropriate month in the list on the left, under Blog Archive.
This quote picks up on Bungus's point of a few days ago, about sesame oil for Chinese, fenugreek for Indian :-
With that I will wish you a very good evening - and hope to catch you tomorrow.

As it's some time since I "commented" here, I thought I'd put in my "twopennorth" now! As always, I find the Blogs fascinating and entertaining with lovely pictures. I like the sound of the sour cherry juice, so I'll try to remember to have a look in Lidl next time I go to Aberystwyth.
As for McAfee SiteAdvisor, what you say is right in principle apart from what you say about "red" sites. They're not necessarily virus-laden, but may have dodgy downloads on them or links to very questionable sites. The best thing to do with red, or even yellow, sites is to click on the icon, then on "View Site Details" to find out why SA has coded the site the way it has. Visiting a red site doesn't mean that your PC will automatically become home to a lot of viruses!
An example: A few months ago, my download manager decided not to play nicely any more, so on the recommendation of Mouse from WU, I decided to get Free Download Manager. Their site is coded red, but this download is green, although there are dodgy downloads and links to red sites there. I like FDM, it checks my downloads automatically for viruses using my AV program.
The point I'm making is that SA is a guidance program and you should exercise a bit of common sense when using it, just check out the site details for yellow and red sites so that you can make an informed decision about whether or not to use the site in question.
I'm fed up with all this rain.
